A rediscovered Xenophon’s tile
short notes about the reuse of “Agesilaus” in Panormita’s “De dictis et factis Alfonsi regis”

This paper focuses on the translation of Xenophon’s Agesilaus by Filelfo, and, in particular, on its use by Panormita. The starting point is the ms. BNF, Lat. 6074 (probably belonged to Antonello Petrucci). Some textual comparisons between the translation by Filelfo and the Dicta et facta Alfonsi regis by Panormita confirm the ideological reception of Xenophon at the Court of Alfonso the Magnanimous.
